Porsche opened its Leipzig plant, one of the world's most modern, in August 2002. The Cayenne and, since 2009, the Panamera are produced here. In addition to the 6 acre (25,000 m2) Panamera production hall, a logistics center of almost the same size, a modern pilot and analysis center and a new trainee workshop have also been built.
