Klassik airleben at Rosental
On 3 and 4 July 2026, Leipzig’s Rosental was once again transformed into the city’s most beautiful open-air concert hall. Thousands of classical music fans, young and old, gathered to enjoy the unique open-air atmosphere at “Klassik airleben” and to listen to the sounds of the Gewandhaus Orchestra. Making culture accessible and tangible for everyone – that is the aim of ‘Klassik airleben’ in the Rosental. Porsche Leipzig is supporting the Gewandhaus’s open-air concert series as a presenter for the eleventh time.
Once again in 2026, music inspired and brought together people of all generations. A total of 58,000 visitors gathered in Leipzig’s Rosental on the two summer evenings and enjoyed two unforgettable concerts by the Gewandhaus Orchestra. Under the baton of Vasily Petrenko, the orchestra presented a varied programme that impressively highlighted the special atmosphere of the open-air concerts. “Making culture accessible to everyone is a major priority for us at Porsche. ‘Klassik airleben’ brings music to life in all its facets – across generations and regardless of social background. We are therefore delighted to be involved as a sponsor again this year,” said Gerd Rupp, Chairman of the Management Board at Porsche Leipzig.
